I guess the 5th one comes out soon, and then movies are in the making. Look into reading them! I will warn you, at the end of the first book.. just keep reading.. you'll know what I mean...

Also I plan on reading the books on the side bar still.

May Reads

I loved this book. My friend Dani recommended "Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas" By James Patterson and I absolutely LOVED that book. So I wanted to read "Sam's letters to Jennifer". James did it again. This novel is a great love story that unfolds as you read. Everybody's life has some tradgety from time to time and this book does a great job of seeing the beauty in every event in your life. I think movies/books have too much of an unrealistic ending sometimes, but this book starts and ends beautifully. I'd recommend BOTH of these books to anyone. There is no foul language, no harsh love scenes, it's not too sad, and not too corney.

James Patterson has wrote a lot of books and I've read some of his Alex Cross series as well. These are definately differnt and I think he is a great author.

I have only read the Ugiles so far.. so I will post later what I think after I finish the series..

April 6th

"Water for Elephants"
3 out of 4 STARS
-Interesting book, soon to be a movie. Well written I personally don't think it was spectacular, but it was a good book. May be a little crude for some of you out there, but if you can handle a few curse words and crude scenes you'll be alright. -Julia

"Poison Study"
4 out of 4 STARS
-Amazing book! This is very well written, enticing, suspenseful and adventurous. It gives you just enough detail to enjoy the book, there is no overbearing information or parts where you need more. I can't wait to read the sequel Magic Study! I'm getting mine today.- Julia

March 9th

The Elegance of the Hedgehog-
Julia and Brightly are the only 2 I know of who read this. But definitely not our favorite. It was a little too philosophical and deep for our minds. We do not recommend this book unless you are into French culture and pphilosophy.

The Hunger Games Series-
The overall consent on this series is we recommend it. Very well written, tactful details, easy to follow and intense. Don't listen to rumors you've heard about these books. If you like to read, read these books.

The Glass Castle Review

The Glass Castle is a Memoir of Jeannette Walls. She had a very interesting upbringing and life story, and did an amazing job writing about it. I was so fascinated with this book and I couldn't help but thinking about my childhood while reading this and realizing that everyone views life and raising children differently. Ginger told me that she loved how Jeannette was able to write about terrible things happening to her and her family, but not be telling it to make you feel sorry for her, she was simply saying 'this is how it was' and nothing more. I think everyone in the club that read this book would agree that it is definitely worth reading, and we all enjoyed hearing her story. I agree with Dani when she told me that parts of the book disturbed her, but I applaud Jeannette for being able to write about it openly. I think a lot of families 'hush hush' subjects because they think if they don't talk about it, then it's not real and it won't happen. But the things that happened in this book are very real, and I personally learned a lot and took away many life lessons from this book.
